In the next few minutes, you'll feel like a caveman compared to what the future holds for digital technology.
The fact is, we as a society are but in our primal stages of technological development.
Early
Stages...From a Relative Viewpoint
Though the
first true computers were developed in the 1940s, it's a fair to say the first
useful and digital computers were developed around the early 1950.
Computers
at this time were massive, taking up large amounts of space, and making them
inefficient for the amount of computing power they performed.
Their importance
is nothing to be discredited however, because it was these computers that paved
the way for breakthroughs in microprocessor technology, and other intricate
hardware that goes into making modern computers today.
Exponential
growth
Civilization
is currently on the pre-century era of computer development, which is an
important fact to keep in mind.
Less than a century, in the scope of life and
time, is a very small stretch.
Basically what this tells us, is computers are
still in their very primitive developmental state compared to what they will
eventually become.
Computers have a special ability of processing numbers and
equations to the nth degree faster than our own human brains can.
This means
civilizations technological development can and will exponentially improve with
time, given that several factors such as money, war and natural disasters don't
stop it.
At this point in time, the computer has been structured to a level
that can quiet easily be quantified into many different forms.
These different
forms of computers will be put in places we never thought computers could be
before.
The 'Smart'
Future
As you and I
know, the future is unforeseeable, but with our own brains a plausible
presumption is easy enough to birth.
The technological age of the future will
be so powerful, the average human won't even understand how it all works.
If
you were able to look, say, 200 years from now, the processes electronics will
be able to accomplish would blow your mind.
Computers today are still babies to
what they will become, even in our own generations time.
The computer of the
future is going to integrate its way into every aspect of life, something we
are already beginning to seeing today.
For example, many people own smart
phones, smart cars and even smart tvs.
Well if you didn't already know,
'computer' can be substituted for any
'smart' product on the market.
Be it known now, because in a short period of
time, everything is going to become digitized, and the days of analog will be
unknown.
